Consent

The Real Me Project is a voluntary, non-statutory programme for individuals wishing to make positive lifestyle changes.

The Project offers support through the use of a trauma-informed, transformative and restorative approach to empower individuals in achieving their goals.

It is essential that participants feel their involvement is voluntary and that they have choices in how they would like to work with our service.

In consenting to work with Real Me, personal details will be stored on a secure electronic Case Management System and used to help participants cope with and recover from the impact of a crime. We will not share information with anyone else, without consent, or unless safeguarding issues are identified. Details will be stored for a period of seven years and we will retain the information longer, if desired.

In consenting to work with us, participants have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • View any information held about them.
  • Request that any incorrect information is put right.
  • Have personal details removed from the Real Me Case Management System, at any point.
  • Make a complaint about the way details are stored or processed via www.safercommunities.org.uk
